Li'l
Angels Miniature Donkeys is, and has always been
about quality animals. Ken and Jeannie Richards
knew from the beginning they wanted to breed for
the very best miniature donkeys that could be
found anywhere. They spent an entire year
visiting farms and shows before they ever bought
their first breeding stock. They show their
donkeys for two reasons, because they want to
prove the quality of their stock in the show
ring, and because they enjoy it. Ken and
Jeannie's attitude in serving their customers is
to treat them like they would want to be
treated, with integrity and honesty. There is an
old horse saying, "You get what you breed". This
is a true statement in any breed, and it's why
Ken and Jeannie take every single mating
seriously, taking care to breed each jennet to a
jack that will best compliment her in every way.
They train their donkeys for performance as well
as halter, so movement is very important.
Disposition is always important, since it is one
of the best things about miniature donkeys.
Color, size, conformation, disposition.....in a
single word, quality. They stand 5 herdsires,
and have 45 brood jennets, producing about 25
foals each year. They welcome visitors, phone
calls and e-mails. |
