Describe Facility: |
Rocking Patch Mini Ranch is located in the Lower
Fraser Valley in British Columbia approximately
25 miles east of Vancouver (2010 Winter Olympic
site). We are 5 minutes north of the Lynden, Wa.
border crossing (2 hrs. north of Seattle). The
area weather is mild, and we experience all four
seasons. Our donkeys enjoy the outdoors, but
are brought inside each night. Although
located close to a major urban center, our small
acreage is in an area of extensive equine
development. Aldergrove/Langley has been dubbed
the equine center of Canada. However, miniature
donkeys are just beginning to gain a foothold
in the area. With few breeders in the area, we
endeavour to educate the public and provide
miniature donkeys to those wishing to join in on
owning these wonderful animals. We welcome
visitors anytime, and are willing to discuss
miniature donkeys with anyone. |

Rocking Patch Mini Ranch has only been in
existence since 2004. However, we have been in
the equine industry for over 35 years. Susan
has not only shown warm blood horses, she also
taught and judged during that time. We bring
that knowledge into the miniature donkeys by
trying to train and produce the best balanced
conformation and attitude to our herd. Being
small, we have less than 20 donkeys (and 4 mini
horses), we can spend quality time with all of
our animals in training for either halter or
performance. Our herd sire,
Rocking Patch Pink Cadillac, and his
brother,
Rocking Patch Pink Floyd, are proof of the
results of that attention. We are trying to
specialize in sorrels, but all the donkeys are
given TLC, whether they become a show stopper
or a loving pet and companion. Should you wish
to have your jennet breed to "P C", or acquire
one of our donkeys, the result will be a welcome
addition to your situation. |
