Li'l Angels Jazzlynn is one of the most
fun donkeys I've ever worked with. She
was the first foal born on Li'l Angels
farm. We felt very fortunate such a nice
foal for our first one, but it was not
until later we discovered her "extra"
talents. From the first training session
I was extremely impressed with
Jazzlynn's intelligence and
trainability. But as we progressed I
began to realize she was extra special.
I call her "push button". She was so
precise in every thing she did. She was
never over or under where I asked her to
be, but always right on the money. It
really paid off when she showed at the
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in
2005, and won High Point Champion,
winning first place in a Trail Class of
61 entries! That was the biggest class
I've ever entered, and she was
absolutely perfect. I knew we had won.
She was just too perfect to have done
any better than 1st Place.
Jazzlynn has been enjoyed by many, and
has been instrumental in teaching others
to drive. In fact, when Liz Moore (owner
of Eeebray) first visited our farm, I
pulled Jazzlynn out of the pasture and
let Liz drive her. She had not been
driven for over a year, and Liz had
never driven a miniature donkey. Liz got
to drive her again on her last visit in
October 2009, and we talked about her
first experience with driving miniature
donkeys. She said she would never forget
her first drive with Jazzlynn. It sold
her on driving miniature donkeys.
Jazzlynn has now crossed many borders
and has gone to live with Amy McBirney
in California. Jazzlynn assisted me in
teaching two clinics while we were in
California and Oregon, and she did not
let me down. Everyone was extremely
impressed with her skills. We were able
to spend the weekend with Amy, giving
her lessons and teaching her all about
Jazzlynn, and a better time was never
had! It's such a joy to place this
exceptional jennet in the hands of a
Youth exhibitor. I'm thrilled that Amy
and Jazzlynn have become a team, and I
look forward to many years and loads of
fun with them. I only wish they lived
closer.
